The MNZ Board advises that the date has changed, the AGM will now be held over the weekend of May 21st to 23rd. They apologise for this, however when they checked the same weekend as we used in 2009, the same problem existed (a round of the Cross Country Championship).
The 'New Board' believes, that as well as the various discipline Workshops, we should have a series of seminars. These seminars would be designed to help clubs run their day to day activities.
To that end, we propose Seminars on the following:
- Media (How to handle it at a local level)
- Obtaining Sponsorship/Funding (How to go about getting Sponsors)
- Retaining Sponsorship (What to do at events etc to retain Sponsors)
- Event and Championship Organisation
- Financial Planning (this would assist Clubs to look into the future)
This will require us to begin our weekend on Friday at midday.
A more detailed schedule will be sent out and listed on our website in the coming weeks.
The date change also means that the closing date for various items relating to the AGM change these are now as follows:
